These are so realistic!
Be aware that these are hard plastic and not for kids who may throw or smack others. But they are very realistic and stand on their own. Perfect for a kid who wants to play farm.

These plastic animals have the best attention to detail, it’s crazy. Theyre a really nice hard thick plastic (which is what I’ve come to expect from this brand) they’re great for kids. I have one who loves all the animals included in this set and I thought they would make a perfect stocking stuffer. I took a photo to show they all stand on their own too, because for us I’ve noticed it’s very frustrating for the kids to have toy/model animals that don’t stand on their own.
Great quality, good size pieces so no choking concerns, lots of imaginative play opportunities

So, I got this set for my granddaughter since she loves animals and has just started 4-H. I had expected the assortment shown in the description, but received only horses. This is why a knocked off a star. Otherwise, the horses are quite nice, and I know she’ll love them.

My kids all love Schleich figurines. It keeps them busy for hours and allows them to be creative and play nicely together. Schleich figurines are pretty pricey but they are extremely durable, detailed and made to last. My girls wanted some farm animals to add to their horse sets and this set was perfect. Great variety. Each figure stands on its own and won’t topple over. This is a great feature for my toddler.

The farm figurines are detailed and painted well. The foal has a curious pose with its head tilted. The male dog and cat look intent and have toe beans under their paws! The friendly-looking sow has the correct number of teats, the goat looks like she could provide milk, the calf is adorable with that heart-shaped splotch on her head, and the rooster looks a bit fierce. All can stand on their own, though the rooster is on a patch of grass. Most can also leave somewhat realistic footprints in playdough. The textures are appropriate to the animal and shiny paint is used for eyes and some noses.
There are a couple of minor paint mistakes – a single toe-bean on the cat is half white instead of pink, one of the rooster’s eyes is slightly bigger than the other and a couple of his talons have green paint on them, and the dog’s toe beans aren’t as good as the cat’s, but the dog has smaller paws without raised toes as guides the way the cat’s paws do. As I said, they’re minor. The scale of the animals relative to each other is good enough.
From previous experience with other Schleich figurines, I know that these will last for many years. The only problem with this set is that you’ll probably want to get more.

Brand
The schleich® brand is a worldwide toy brand historically representing high quality. I very much appreciate their products. The quality and detail are typically old world perfect and having a history of being made in Germany. However, globalization is a reality, and these pieces are no exception.
I like these, but.
As an adult, my first impression is that I like these. Children, that much more. However, I have some issues?
What are my issues?
To begin, I am a little confused regarding their proportions.
Why so?
To start, these are offered as a set. Seven (7) farm animals were advertised and that’s what I received. So, on that thought, I imagined them to be proportionate to the other, as they are a set, right? They are a set, but they are not proportionate to each other.
For instance?
The cat is nearly as big as the calf; the chicken is taller than that calf; and the chicken is bigger than the goat, and so on. Yes, I saw the listing’s photos, but I did not think them representative. After receiving, I realized how disproportionate they are to each other, it’s a negative for me.
What else?
Their quality. Don’t get me wrong, these are highly detailed, and seem durable. However, I just do not see the same quality from those pieces from previous purchases that were made in Europe.
Country of origin?
I should report “countries.” Historically, The schleich® brand was a made in Germany brand, which expanded into other parts of Europe. However, these farm animals were made all over the place. For instance, the pig was made in Vietnam, the goat in Tunisia, and that rooster in China, and it looks it.
Quality?
I am just not seeing what I did from long ago. For instance, that rooster’s detail just seemed second class to me.
Giftable?
Possibly.
Why just possibly?
This arrived double boxed. Which is a good start. The inside box, 10” x 5” x 3½” in size was a somewhat durable plain brown cardboard package, I’d describe it as semi-retail in appearance, as just the brand name was referenced on the exterior. Nothing was noted about was inside, where the item originated from, or product information. Regrettably, the 6” brown paper seal appeared to have been sloppily torn, so the integrity of the contents could easily be accessed; and they were. All farm animals were present, [most – but not all, were] sealed within plastic packaging and marked what was to be inside. However, the rooster’s packaging was visibly “torn” open, and the rooster was loose. How can I trust giving this as a gift when the presentation package was in the condition, I received it in? A piece inside was ripped from its protective bag and separated.
Value?
The price for this set is not dime store bargain bin. Considering their size, it’s more moderate to premium.
More on quality.
These look authentic, having an elaborate, intricate, and highly detailed appearance, from far away. However, on closer inspection, for instance, that rooster, I just did not see the perfection I was accustomed to. There is detailed, and they are, for the most part, realistic images they portray, however, the finest of details, for instance, on that rooster, just seemed missing.
Is this a good set?
It’s okay.
Is it the perfect set?
I think it’s a rough starter set. It will trigger imagination, but the pieces, being so disproportionate, just kind of turn me to look at other pieces in this series. .
Fit & finish?
Just okay. The rooster looks exaggerated and fake. The goat looks unimaginative. The calf’s spots do not look realistic. They do not seem as lifelike as I was expecting. Some of the rooster appeared unfinished in areas. They appear to be sturdy and present themselves to being durable.
Can they stand?
Yes, on their own, on a flat and stable surface, to prevent immediate tip-overs.
Collectible?
Can be, but I am just not a fan of these.
Stimulate imagination?
Yes, at least for me.
A part of a series?
Yes, there is a large assortment of additional themed animals, even adventure type sets, like farmyards and such.
For boys & girls?
I say yes, both boys and girls aged three (3) and older are attracted to this set, I question whether they will ever age out of these, because they are collectable, I am glad to get these early, for years of fun and imaginative play.
Can this help?
I think this gives opportunity for my young children to explore with these, using their imagination. I also believe that these toys help children in hand-eye coordination, dexterity, imaginative play, and learning to care for the animals and to establish responsibility over them.
I hope my thoughts added information.

This is a Schleich product, made in Germany. They are known for their fine detail in animals and wildlife. This is part of their “Farm World” series. It includes a riding horse, a female rider, a removable saddle, a small calf, and a beautiful dog. The box has a slide-out panoramic backdrop to set up your make-believe farm setting. This would provide hours of play for your child. The age appropriation is suggested from 3-8. I love the designer’s attention to detail. I would highly recommend this product.

These have a great weight to them and are great quality for my toddler to carry around. They go everywhere with us and have been tossed in many pockets and diaper bags and look as good as they did the day they were delivered. Great for any kid who loves animals
Peeps9788 –
These farm animals are really cute. They are a fun size to play with, but aren’t necessarily proportional to each other. Each animal came in its own plastic bag inside a Schleich box. My favorite animal is probably the goat, but that may just be because we live on a goat farm.

The Schleich 7-Piece Farm Set is something I’m very happy with.
The set shipped well with minimal packaging. The toys emitted no weird odors or chemical-like smells.
The animals are all of excellent quality, with no deformities at all. They are very appealing to the eye. I love that they look so realistic!
This set goes well with other farm sets from Schleich. I’m planning on pairing these with our Schleich chicken coop set.
This set isn’t just for looks; it makes for great play and learning experiences in the home and classroom.
I love that each character piece can have differences since it’s hand-painted. No two are alike! This set will likely last a lifetime with modest play and care.
The price is quite reasonable for the number of pieces, and the well-made nature of this set pushes me to give it the highest rating and recommendation possible.
