I bought this set for my Grandson who just turned two, and he hasn’t stopped playing with it for days. It’s very well made, nice and sturdy. It comes with a battery operated, motorized Thomas, and a small non- motorized Percy who can be hooked on to other trains. Cranky the crane, Carly the crane, and Cassia are all included, attached to the set. There are many ways for the child to interact, pushing the red levers to allow the train to go after stopping on the track, pushing the big lever over for Cranky to set the bridge for allowing the train to cross the gap in the tracks, using the hooks to remove cargo from the trains and dropping them down the chute to be picked up later down the track. Harold the helicopter is also included and there’s a helipad for him.
The trains stay on track, climb the ascending rails, and navigate the descending rails very well. You can buy other motorized trains to join in the fun, we use up to three at a time, and keep the others ‘parked’ in our ‘train yard’ in the meantime. Smaller, heavy trains that aren’t motorized( like the Percy that’s included), race very quickly down the track using only gravity.
This is a wonderful toy, the adults are delighted by it too! Not disappointed at all. High quality and surprisingly well done! Definitely recommend.

Purchased for my grandson who is 31 months old. He was just so enthralled with it. I (Grandma) found it easy to assemble. I purchased”used” which arrived in perfect condition, only the original box was retapped with brown masking tape, at one end. Everything else was “as new” in the box. BIG SAVINGS! I’m thrilled with how it captivated my grandson for most of the day and feel it was money well spent.
In addition, I’d also purchased the Thomas & Friends “Party Train Percy”. The product itself was fine, HOWEVER, when trying to use this additional train, which is an add-on to this series, note that it’s too long to fit on the spin bridge. (See photo with yellow circle. It rips the last section of the train off or jams the spinner. I found that surprising that the length wasn’t taken into consideration by fisher-price when developing this item. So you have to keep one of the 3 sections off in order to have it operate property on the tower. 🫤 not happy about that.

My 4-year old great-grandson cannot leave this alone. HE LOVES IT. His Dad put it together but apparently it was fairly easy.

This is honestly one of the COOLEST toys I’ve ever seen. My two year old loves it. I think I enjoy playing with it as much as him.
Thomas is motorized, he can do the entire track without being pushed. I do wish I could order more trains for it. It came with Thomas + Percy and a Harold the helicopter.

My 2.5 year old grandson loves it. He can’t manage the bridge on his own yet but will be soon I’m sure. It’s nice that it stays together well after it is assembled so he isn’t frustrated with tracks falling apart. It is pretty complex assembly with screws & requires screwdriver. Took more than an hour to assemble. Wish those stickers were already on it. I like the vertical levels- it’s large but better than spread all over the floor. It’s a special toy for grandma’s house. I ordered extra trains for it. Don’t forget batteries.

This playset arrived on schedule and was packaged to withstand most bumps during transit. There was no damage. It is a heavy carton. But I wanted to pass along my two cents – in case it helps someone who has decided yet to purchase it.
Size: Forget measurements: Take a good look at your couch. The playset is about or is as high as the back of your couch. The width: If you have wide cushions on your couch, then you have a good idea of how wide this playset is. Depth: AGAIN, use the cushion on your couch to image the depth. In short, the finished piece takes up a bit of room, but It is easy to move after its built.
Construction: The instructions-all 25 steps, are easy to follow. The first dozen or so calls on you to attach small Philips screws which hold the base together. There are 19 screws-this takes the most time. Assume it will take an hour or so if you are doing this part manually. Note they usually give you one extra screw.
Once the base is screwed together, the rest snaps into place. Oh, be sure to attach the decals before assembly.
Playing. Once you put the batteries (purchase separately) in the engine. Test out the playset.
You will notice two things. No drawbacks-just something to keep in mind.
First: The bridge is only long enough for an engine and one other car or attachment. I mention this because many Thomas engines have two or three additional cars attached to the engine. While these will run on the track- you may have a problem with the hand-operated swing bridge. You WILL have an issue at the base-unless you have another set of tracks attached -so the train can travel that instead of continuing up the other side of the tower.
Again, I mention this because my grandson’s trains have at least three cars attached to the engine most of the time.
Price: I have seen this playset priced at $100.00. I paid less here and I noticed that it is currently $5.00 cheaper than what I paid a short time ago.
Value: My grandson’s eyes grew bigger than the playset when he first saw it. He likes it and we of course added a few our the older sets we have to it. So it takes up most of our family room floor.
The whole point of this review is to point out the size of this playset. The fact that the train goes up and down and around the tracks automatically is nice. There are release levers on the two main curves that stop the train so the person playing, has time to adjust the bridge above or the roundhouse bridge below by hand. Then a flip of the switch and the train moves on down the track.
