While the surface is not slate, and the pens are not real chaulk, my wife says this is better, and not as messy. Cleans up better with damp towel than the eraser provided (just smeers a bit).

One of my pet peeves about my wife was she would let dishes stack up in the sink and leave them there overnight. We moved into a new house and found out in early spring, tiny Pharaoh ants are likley to invade finding any little spill to gather around. Well, 2nd year we keep things super clean in the spring. No problem except the wife & step son and grand baby went back to their old ways. Dirty dishes in the sink overnight. 3rd year, Saw some scout ants. Cleaned kitchen thoroughly at night before bed again but this time I made a cute little sign. Do you know they do not leave dishes piled up in the sink overnight anymore? Hallelujah! Or it’s just the year 2020 Covad-19 byproduct.

I got this to write our a schedule every day for school but it was not the best for that. Cleaning the board itself is messy and not convenient, so this is best used for signs that you will keep for several weeks or something like that. The quality of the pens and entire sign however is sooo good and I love this. I’ll def be using it as a welcome sign or other stuff that i can leave on for a long time.

Love this chalkboard and the liquid makers that came with it. Awesome little stand.. Wipes clean with the Expo White Board Cleaner. I purchased for our graduation, turned great! I will be keeping this mind for future gift ideas.
Update from my 1st purchase. Purchased another chalkbord for my parents, which are aging & writing on this board helps them to remember upcoming events, Dr’s. Appt. ect…. Love this board. More birthday’s coming up, I will be purchasing my 3rd one soon.

Great on my counter to let my kids know their daily schedule or to-do list. The eraser is useless. Use a slightly damp paper towel then dry with a cloth. The markers aren’t great, but they are okay. It looks great and is well made. Works great for my family.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, but this set is exactly what I was looking for! I was shocked at the quality/weight of the wood. It looks so expensive! The board isn’t too big to eat up counter space, but big enough for my family’s running grocery list and some reminder notes here and there. Extra plus: the board doesn’t shift around when you write on it. There are slots to store/hide extra markers in the back (see pics) and the magnetized eraser can be stored by attaching it the board or laying it in rear (see pics). Tip: I think it’s easier to use a wee bit of water on a paper towel to clean the board.

Love this chalkboard. The only thing that doesn’t add up is there are holes in the back for markers or chalk that stand up vertically, yet the markers have instructions to store them horizontally. So there is no room to store the markers behind the board. I don’t think the markers necessarily go with the board, the seller just packaged them that way. I had problems with one of the markers and a whole new set was shipped to me right away. Excellent customer service and great product.

This is a great chalkboard! Love how it sits in the base so it can be placed on a countertop. However, it also has hardware on the back so it can be hung on the wall. It comes with 4 chalk pens and the eraser. Very happy with this purchase!
