I got the chicken and barley version from hill’s for my golden. The barley flavor is bigger size and it smelled really bad and my dog won’t eat it. However, when I switch to the potato flavor which are smaller in sizes. My dog absolutely loved them and I never had a problem with her not eating. I don’t usually write product reviews but this dog food actually smells good I wanted to try it lol! Good product. I hope people at Hill’s can figure out what’s in the big sized peddle that caused my dog to not eat it…

Stool still runy after 5 days so I still have a few weeks to transfer completely. I really hope this does the job as she seems to really like this food and wouldn’t eaven touch Blue Buffalo. Dog would starve herself before eating and it was really concerning. I will revisit this review. my lab is 80lb healthy and would ignor the 1 cup of BB I gave in the morning and stay all day untouched. At night I gave 1 1/2 cup only a fraction of recomended serving. She seemed to have around 2 cups of running stool in 3 or 4 piles. I don’t see how any nutrients can get to the dog if more comes out then went in. I am really hoping fot this product to donthe job.
I don’t know why you ask humans how the taste is on these products unless some actually eat the stuff but I have no idea how to answer some of these ridiculous questions,

The product itself is great and has helped my dogs itchy skin significantly. However Amazon’s subscribe and save on this has been kind of a joke. You don’t save anything significant plus I had my last order days late. I mean how would anyone even dogs like it to not have food for days. We subscribe to receive on specific days and they failed.

We previously used Purina and our dogs started getting sick and eventually wouldn’t even eat the food. We started buying this and both my dogs are so excited to eat now and I’ve noticed a drastic difference in their gut health and appetite. It’s expensive but totally worth it.

This dog food worked on helping the coat and she eats it, even though she still prefers steak. Yep, she is spoiled. However, She ate this right away. As a rescue that was almost starved to death, she has had skin issues. Her fur is thicker and filled in. The vet came and said she was looking great and to keep on it. It might be a little expensive but saves me money as don’t need a prescription for special shampoo anymore!

We have went through several brands before landing on this one and now it’s the ONLY one I’ll use. I like the sensitive stomach and it doesn’t cause stomach aches, gas, bloat like other dog brands do. Over all, this is perfect! My dogs about 85 lbs and I order a bag a month.
Speaking for the meek –
I have two dogs, one almost 15 years old, who is very picky and thin and runs the gamut of skin issues and upset stomach. The other is almost two and thankfully healthy and eats well. I give both of my dogs this food just because it is much easier to manage. I also add one or two pumps of salmon oil on top of their food. They both eat this food without much issue. 15 year old eats this much better if I add a little warm broth or even warm water to it. My daughter has a beagle/bulldog mix that has notoriously smelly gas —like clear the room gas— but doesn’t have issues when he comes to stay at our house and eats this food. All in all I would recommend this product. My dogs prefer the chicken over the salmon.
