I got this as a gift for my son, who is a big Jurassic fan, and he loved this pack! It has very small parts, so definitely made more for collectors. I love the little eggs that come in the set! My son says that he really likes how the Velociraptor turned out.

The Hammond Collection Velociraptors aren’t as good as the Amber Collection Raptors; they are smaller, feature less articulation and detail. This iteration is the Boss-lady of the Raptor pack from JP3. I love the brighter rendition of her colours and patterning. I didn’t really care for the Alan Grant figure or the accessories as I’m in this for the cool Dinosaur figure.
I like to keep my collection in boxes on display and the box for this set is terrible. It’s literally a brown cardboard box. Yes, it does have some JP trades on it but it looks like the box you would cut to pieces to get to your actual branded, boxed figure. There is no textured box with a display window like some of the other Hammond Collection figures and this is where it lost me. I’m very tempted to just open it and have the Raptor Queen free standing but I worry I may throw out the rest of it when I get rid of the next set of Amazon boxes!
Ironically, when you open it up it has a removable fascia that looks like a classic Hammond Collection box! They could have used less cardboard and given us something more in line with other figures in the collection! The more I type this, I feel like I am missing something simple to at least make the figures more display shelf friendly.
Overall, a fantastic addition to the Hammond Collection and I look at it as getting a free Alan Grant figure with accessories. The box it comes in really lets it down for me, though.

Or do, I’m not your dad. This Hammond Collection set of two figures is great, with both human and dinosaur representation from Jurassic Park III. Won’t ever be mistaken for being the greatest Jurassic film but definitely not the worst, this version of Alan Grant depicts his outfit in that film decently, but no highly-accurate affair. The female Velociraptor here suffers from looking too much like Blue cosplaying as her instead, plus has the way too disproportionate oversized feet of all the Hammond Collection raptors (and dilo) but is nice to have a Mattel incarnation that isn’t so cheap on detail. Maybe someday she and the others will be redone on the improved upcoming Blue mold but I wouldn’t count on it. Oh, and don’t forget that this set is SIOC (ships in own container). If you want a pretty collector-oriented box, you’ll have to fold apart and re-construct the box inside out.

This set is finally stepping off the screen of Jurassic Park III. The star here is definitely the female raptor but seeing Alan in his iconic wardrobe from the third film is something we don’t get too often in a toy line. The backpack, sling bag and eggs are great additions to the set. Pick up a JP3 male raptor and you’ve got a scene. Only downside has been the availability of this item. Let’s get more in stock!!
