But this is a gift for my child’s birthday and I did not have the highest expectations based on the price point, but it has more than surpassed my expectations. We can spend so much time playing with the train and never get bored of it!
The build quality was way better than I expected, and has held up from children roughhousing with the train set.

I really wanted to love this train set. Unfortunately, this not a five stars for me, because both trains go off the track pretty much on every go around. Secondly, the handling of the track is definitely for more than one child. We have two other Thomas the Train sets as well. So I was expecting for this to be a slam dunk. This track it complicated even for two adults imo. The goal is to have both trains running in opposite directions at the same time and having the timing down is a science for two adults. So to think two or one child can manage is a tough one to swallow. Having said that, we still kept it bc it’s still really really cool and very new in the fact that both trains talk to one another.

The track is awesome but the gears on the launch feature started slipping almost immediately. we only got to do the loop twice and then the gears started slipping got this for my sons birthday, hope for a way to get replacement launcher / update we did get new launcher at no cost to me witch fixed the issue having said that changed to four stars, no problems since.
